Health & Nutrition:
Smoking Cessation

No SmokingCigarette smoking is the single greatest cause of cancer deaths. Smoking is also a major factor in heart disease.

Various measures, including acupuncture, hypnosis and nicotine-containing skin patches or chewing gum have all be shown to provide some benefit, but not more that 2-3% effective.  It appears the best results occur when people quit ‘cold turkey’ or with natural products   You have to make the commitment.  It is something that only YOU can do.

Here are a few tips to help:

  • List all the reasons why you want to quit smoking and review them daily.
  • Set a specific day to quit, tell at least ten friends that you are going to quit smoking and then DO IT!
  • Throw away all cigarettes, butts, matches, and ashtrays.
  • Take one day at a time.
  • Realize that millions of people have quit smoking. Smokers are now a minority.  So if they can do it, so can you.
  • Visualize yourself as a nonsmoker with more available money, pleasant breath, unstained teeth, and the satisfaction that comes from being in control of your life.
  • When you need to relax, perform deep breathing exercises rather than reaching for a cigarette.
  • Avoid situations that you associate with smoking.
  • Each day, reward yourself in a positive way.  Buy yourself something with the money you’ve saved, or plan a special reward as a celebration for quitting.
  • If you are taking any medications, consult with your physician about the possible need for an adjustment in dosage after you quit smoking.
  • Incorporate a natural food supplement (non-time release) (vitamins/minerals) that will help support the nervous system through the transition. This supplement should contain a synchronicity of vitamins especially being high in the B-complex family.  An adrenal support could also be of benefit.  Certain herbs or essential oils (link to essential oil button)are on the market that can help with anxiety and depression that may occur in smoking cessation.
  • Consult your doctor to start an exercise program. Regular exercise exerts a powerful positive effect on mood as well as tensions.

We recommend CIG-NO an all natural, non addictive, non-nicotine product that is safe and effective. The company is so confident that they guarantee complete and total satisfaction or your money back.
