Customized Weight Management

Weight managmentTrouble Losing Weight?
Most weight gain is a result of poor dietary choices and/or a decrease in physical activity.  Be honest with yourself and re-evaluate your dietary choices and lifestyle.  Are you making healthy choices?  Try out one of our customized weight management programs.

Most people who carry excess weight usually have developed or are beginning to develop other health problems.  What aches and pains have you developed in the last few years?

Carrying excess weight causes your body to slowly deteriorate.  The poor dietary choices that have been made, lead to malnutrition and toxicity.  The lack of physical activity causes circulation to become poor, digestion to slow and all of the body’s processes to become less effective.  What first starts off as weight gain and a decrease in energy, will soon lead to irritating physical effects such as sore and stiff joints, constipation, asthma etc.  Eventually, this will lead to more serious degenerative diseases.  While this process can happen to anyone over time, it is more likely to happen sooner and more intensely in someone who carries excess weight.

The Basics of Weight Loss
There are no magic tricks or pills when it comes to losing weight.  For most people it has taken years of poor diet and lack of exercise to reach their current weight.  In order to begin to lose the excess pounds, good nutrition and lifestyle changes, including exercise are the first items to be addressed.

Like anything else that is new to the body, start slowly incorporating the good things.  The concept is very simple.

  • Eat fresh, whole foods consisting of lots of fruits and vegetables.
  • Eat lean meats such as chicken and turkey (white is best), and fish.
  • Eat small portions, but more frequently throughout the day.
  • Eliminate high refined foods, processed foods and sugar.
  • Do not overeat
  • Do not eat late at night
  • Drink lots of water

There are also many ways to combine different types of foods in order to lose weight.  The most important thing is to find a plan that works for you.  Regardless of how you wish to proceed, these basic guidelines will always apply.

Exercise is also a key element in losing weight.  The concept is simple.

  • All physical activity is good
  • Start slow – walking 15 minutes a day is a great start.  Work up from that point.
  • Find activities you like and provide a challenge, yet can be completed.
  • Exercise regularly.

Diet and exercise are key elements to losing weight.

Cleansing and Weight Loss
While there are no true ‘shortcuts’ to help you lose weight, cleansing prior to or during a weight loss program has been shown to increase success.  Both in terms of the amount of weight lost and in keeping it off. A thorough 30 day cleanse is not only useful for helping lose excess weight, but is also an essential part of achieving and maintaining good health.

A 30 day cleanse will help rid the body of toxins by stimulating your body’s 7 channels of elimination (the liver, lungs, colon, kidneys, blood, skin, and lymphatic system).  By cleansing the body it becomes more efficient.  This plays a key factor in weight loss and weight control.  This general cleanse will also help your body prepare for the increase in physical activity that you are about to start.  It works to improve your digestive system and enhance nutrient absorption.  This in turn will help increase energy levels and metabolism – IMPORTANT ELEMENTS OF WEIGHT LOSS AND MAINTAINENCE.
