SOFT DRINKS

Consumption of sugar-laden soft drinks during the formative teenage years increases urinary calcium excretion and decreases the amount of calcium laid down in bone. People who drink a lot of soft drinks in their teens and twenties are more prone to osteoporosis and fractures in the later years.
