Switch to Compact Fluorenscent Bulbs

If every Canadian household switched just one incandescent bulb to a CFL (compact fluorescent bulb), annual energy costs would be reduced by $73 million and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions would be cut by almost 397,000 tonnes - the equivalent of taking 66,000 cars off the road.

More details: http:www.nspower.ca/AboutUs/WhatsNew/detail4148.html

CFL bulbs can be purchased at such places as Canadian Tire, Home Depot as well as many other places. The bulbs cost a bit more but last so long that they are still cheap at $3-4. The CFLs that do not start instantly (pre-heat types) will have a longer life than the "instant start" type.

Every good choice make a difference for our next generation.
