Short-Circuiting Dry Cough

When you finally hit that pillow at night and the old tickly throat and tears start, how can you swiftly stifle the tickle?

  • Give it a rest - rest is important to get rid of lingering colds and flus. Also rest your voice by talking less.
  • Elevate your head - either by elevating your mattress or elevating your head with several pillows.
  • Keep it moist - in the good old days when cough syrup was not around, people simply put a thin face cloth over their nose and mouth. This keeps passages moist and works within minutes. Drink plenty of pure water.
  • Nighty night....
